Sea birds

Kanda Kumar

Eagle

The white-bellied sea eagle, standing around 70 centimetres high, feeds on fish and snakes.

Sea birds can be divided into two groups: oceanic birds and shore birds. Oceanic birds are truly birds of the open seas and oceans, while shore birds inhabit coastal waters. There are very few species of oceanic birds in Malaysia, but birds that frequent the rich Malaysian coastal waters, estuaries and coastal mangrove mud flats are numerous.
