Molluscs
Molluscs are soft-bodied animals. Most molluscs often have beautiful calcareous shells, a large muscular foot and a rasping tongue called a radula. Although these three characteristics have enabled them to adapt to a wide range of habitats, the majority live in the sea. The phylum Mollusca includes a large variety of forms and, comprising more than 100,000 species, is second in number only to insects. There are six classes of molluscs, all of which are found in Malaysia's seas.
