Mudskippers

Mudskippers are amphibious fish belonging to the family Gobiidae which inhabit muddy estuarine shores from Africa east to the Pacific Ocean, as far south as northern Australia and as far north as southern Japan. There are estimated to be 34 species in the world, of which four are commonly seen on the mud flats of the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia as well as Sabah and Sarawak.
