Hornbills

There are 54 species of hornbills in the world, forming the order Bucerotiformes. They are found in sub-Saharan Africa, and from India east to New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. Malaysia has 10 species of these astonishing, long-tailed birds, which in Sarawak have a special place in customs and ceremonies, as they have in many other societies.
