Extinction is forever
The extinction of plant species is a silent process that usually occurs without notice or concern. And yet, from an ethical point of view, every extinction is an irreversible loss of a unique life form. The highest extinction rates occur in habitats that are species rich and harbour unique species with narrow geographical distribution.
