Dancesport
An extension of the recreational activity of ballroom dancing, dancesport has developed into a competitive event. Dancesport athletes must train rigorously in order to attain the level of skill necessary to compete in formal competitions. Malaysian DanceSport Berhad (MDSB) oversees the growth and development of the sport in the country. Since 1998, Malaysian dancers have taken part in international competitions.
