Bodybuilding
With a history in the country dating back to the early 1900s, the sport of bodybuilding has produced a long line of world-class Malaysian competitors. In 1956, Gan Boon Leong became the first local bodybuilder to win the Mr Asia title and Clancy Ang made history by claiming the Mr Universe title in 1962. Since then, Malaysians have remained at the pinnacle of the sport, capturing 15 Mr Asia and five Mr Universe crowns.
