Off-road racing arrived in Malaysia in the mid-1980s and proved popular among the local community. Taking advantage of Malaysia’s diverse terrain, 4x4 clubs organize off-road challenges as well as overland journeys out of the country. Rally racing is equally popular in Malaysia and the nation has produced a world champion in Karamjit Singh.
