Malaysia rose to prominence on the international badminton scene in the early 1950s and has since established itself as a perennial powerhouse. By virtue of their efforts in major individual and team competitions, Malaysian badminton players have forged a tradition of excellence in the sport. Malaysia’s only three Olympic Games medals were won on the badminton court.
