Handball
A player may attempt to impede the movement of an opponent by using his torso. He may not attempt to hold, trip or block the opponent’s movement with either his arms or legs. He is also not allowed to charge or hit his opponent.
Introduced to Malaysia in the 1970s, handball has steadily grown in popularity. This proliferation has been especially visible among school children, thanks to the inclusion of the game in the national curriculum in the early 1980s. The number of local tournaments and leagues continues to grow, thereby ensuring the sport’s ongoing development.
