Venturing abroad: Malaysian investments overseas

Foreign investment by Malaysian corporations has risen markedly over the years, with RM7.8 billion invested in 2004 and RM12.9 billion in 2005. Investments have been made in a wide range of economic activities, both in the developed nations of Europe and America, as well as in the emerging markets of Asia and Africa. With increasing globalization, this trend is likely to continue.
