Agricultural policies and institutions
In addition to facilitating the growth of individual agricultural sub-sectors such as palm oil and fisheries, agricultural policies since 1957 have also sought to fulfil broader objectives such as rural development and equitable growth. The National Agricultural Policies have fostered the development of a modern and dynamic agricultural sector that is strategically linked to domestic as well as international markets.
