The federal legislature
Legislative authority is vested in Parliament, which comprises the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the House of Representatives (Dewan Rakyat) and the Senate (Dewan Negara). The power to make laws is exercised by Bills being passed by both houses of Parliament and assented to by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
