The country's third Prime Minister, Dato' Hussein bin Dato' Onn, served from 1976 to 1981. He continued and built on the policies—both domestic and foreign—established by his predecessors and set high standards of integrity, rectitude and devotion to duty. He is recognized as the Father of Unity.
