People's Progressive Party supporters mark the party's golden anniversary, 2003.
Six smaller political parties, five of them from Sabah and Sarawak, complete the list of members of the 14-party Barisan Nasional. They are the Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party, Parti Rakyat Sarawak, the Sabah Progressive Party, Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah, the People's Progressive Party and the Liberal Democratic Party. The majority of them are of recent origin.
