The pillars of faith
The six rukun iman, or ‘pillars of faith', constitute the cardinal beliefs of Islam. The pillars of faith, based on the Hadith (sayings) of the Prophet, provide the foundation for the Muslim outlook on life. Understanding the pillars of faith is critical for all Muslims, not only in Malaysia but the world over, and much basic religious instruction revolves around this.
