Christian festivals
Christian festivals commemorate particular aspects of Christian faith. Special days and seasons in the Christian year commemorate the great acts of God redeeming the world through Jesus Christ. Christmas, which celebrates the birthday of Christ, is undoubtedly the most well-known festival in Malaysia. However, Christians in Malaysia also celebrate other Christian festivals such as Good Friday, the day he was crucified, and Easter Sunday, the day of the Resurrection. In rural communities, especially in Sabah and Sarawak, harvest festivals are very important.
