Waste

The disposal of solid wastes in Malaysia is done almost solely through the landfill method.

Homes, commercial premises and industrial complexes in Malaysia's urban centres together generate an estimated 10 000 tonnes of garbage and 2500 cubic metres of sewage every day. As living standards continue to improve, expectations as to how the growing piles of waste should be disposed of rise. Malaysians more than ever expect a disposal practice which not only preserves public health and the environment, but also provides a higher degree of comfort in their daily life.
