Titiwangsa Range

Formation of the Titiwangsa Range

The Titiwangsa Range, also known as the Main Range, is the most prominent and continuous of the mountain ranges of Peninsular Malaysia. Extending the length of the country like a rugged spine, it is important for the rich biological diversity that its peaks support. The lower slopes of the mountains are home to Orang Asli groups, and many of the higher areas, valued for their temperate and tranquil environments, such as the hill stations of Fraser's Hill and the Cameron Highlands, are long-established tourist resorts.
