Temperature
The diurnal variation of temperature at selected locations across Malaysia.
Malaysia's position close to the equator means it experiences an equatorial climate that is hot and humid all year round. There is little seasonal variation in the temperature and there are no seasons, such as summer and winter, to speak of. Any significant variations in temperature across the country are due to differences in altitude. With increased altitude, temperatures become cooler, making places like the Cameron Highlands and the Genting Highlands popular destinations for those seeking to escape the heat in the lowland areas.
