The source of solar energy
As an energy source, solar power has much to recommend it on environmental grounds. Although it is not yet exploited widely in Malaysia, there are potentially broad applications for which it might be harnessed in the future, since Malaysia receives plenty of sunlight by virtue of its geographical position. Several trial projects are already underway, notably in rural areas where other power supplies are lacking.
