The Malaysian rainforests are some of the oldest forests in the world and the huge diversity of vegetation, flora and fauna that they boast has evolved over millions of years. Many of the wonders of the different forest types are exclusive to Malaysia and are of global importance. The plants, animals, soils and water that interact with each other, and which are mutually dependent for continued survival, represent one of the most complex ecosystems in existence.
